“Temp File Save” is a function to save the original PDF file in the specified folder automatically when you overwrite the PDF file after editing it with PDF Edit of ScandAll PRO or ScanSnap Manager for fi Series.
The maximum disk space of the folder for saving the original file is 2 GB. This storage space is shared by all users in the computer.
This function is available in ScandAll PRO V2.0.17 or later or ScanSnap Manager for fi Series 1.0.4 or later.
When you are using ScandAll PRO V2.1 or later or ScanSnap Manager for fi Series 1.0.7 or later, the maximum storage space can be individually specified by each user.
Name of the saved file
For example, when a file named “abcd1234.pdf” is overwritten on March 12, 2015 at 13:56:47, the name of the saved file will be as follows:

Note:
The “sss” represents milliseconds.
To restore the original file, copy the saved file to other folder and rename the extension from “.pd~” to “.pdf”.
Configurable settings
The following settings can be configured in the Temp File Save Settings window:
- Enable/disable Temp File Save
- Disk space to use for the folder where the original file is saved

Save | Enable/disable Temp File Save. Temp File Save is enabled when the checkbox is checked. |
Maximum temp file size | Specifies the maximum disk space to use for the folder where the original file is saved. There are four options including 512MB, 1,024MB, 2,048MB, and 4,096MB. By default 2,048MB is selected. |
Free disk space on drive | Shows free disk space in MB on the drive where the original file is saved. |
OK | Save the settings. An error message appears if there is not enough free disk space for saving. The maximum temp file size must be less than half of the free disk space on the drive. |
Open Save Folder | Open the folder that stores original files. |
