How do I start scanning simply by pressing the [Scan] button on the scanner?

There are two ways to configure:

• Using PaperStream ClickScan
• Using PaperStream Capture
  
  

Using PaperStream ClickScan

1. Visit the page below to download and install PaperStream ClickScan.
   fi Series Software Downloads .
   Note: If your scanner does not support PaperStream ClickScan, please use PaperStream Capture.
   
   
2. Connect the scanner and the computer via USB or LAN.
   
   

3. Start PaperStream ClickScan.
   
   

4. Load the documents on the scanner.
   
   
5. Press the [Scan] button on the scanner to start scanning.

Using PaperStream Capture

1. Visit the page below to download and install PaperStream Capture.
   fi Series Software Downloads .
   Note: If PaperStream Capture is not available for download with your scanner's serial number, please use PaperStream ClickScan.
   
   
2. Configure the settings by referring to either article below.
   How do I set up my scanner to start scanning with the Scan button? (USB)
   How do I set up my scanner to start scanning with the Scan button? (LAN)
   
   
3. Start PaperStream Capture.
   
   
4. Load the documents on the scanner.
   
   
5. Press the [Scan] button on the scanner to start scanning.

Note:

If the scanner does not start scanning, please configure the settings as follows.

1. 1. [Start] menu > [All apps] > [PaperStream Capture] > [Administrator Tool] and select the [Usability] tab.
   2. Make sure a job of your choice is set to [Scan] in [Event], and close Administrator Tool.
   3. Start PaperStream Capture and press the [Configure Jobs] button.
   4. Edit the job you selected for [Scan] in [Event], and go to the [Scan] tab.
   5. Make sure the scanner is selected for [Scanner].
