A message of "Not enough memory available to complete this operation." appears when the amount of memory that the scanning application or the scanner driver uses on the computer is insufficient or exceeded the OS limit. This error may be displayed when scanning large-sized documents or scanning documents in high resolution.
Try any of the following scan settings in the scanner driver, or the operating environment, then check whether the problem has been fixed.
- If your computer has less than 2 GB of memory, use a computer with 4 GB of memory or more
- Specify a lower resolution for [Resolution]
- Change [Paper Source] from [Duplex] to [Simplex]
- Change [Image Mode] from [Color] to [Grayscale] or [Black & White]
- Do not select [Multi Image] or [Automatic Color Detection] for [Image Mode]
- Disable [Cleanup] for [Image]
- Do not select [Automatic] for [Rotation]
- Select [None] for [Cropping]
- Select [Off] for [Hole Punch Removal]
- Select [Off] for [Blank Page Detection]
- Select [Off] for [Edge Correction]
- Temporarily exit unnecessary applications such as any anti-virus software or services running in the background
Attention
When using the 32-bit version of the driver, the maximum memory that can be used by a single process is 2 GB, regardless of the physical memory size of your computer.
