How can I create a searchable PDF file?

You can use OCR text recognition for character strings in a document to create a searchable PDF file.
Follow the setting procedure below.

<Setting Procedure>

For Batch Scan mode

Display [3. Destination] in [Configure Jobs].
Select the PDF file format, then click the [Options] button.

Note:
[PDF File (*.pdf)] is selected as the file format in the example below. Other PDF file formats can be selected.
Select the [Convert to Searchable PDF] checkbox.
Specify items such as [Language] or [Add password when creating PDF file] as required.
For details about each setting item, refer to "Help".

For Simple Scan mode

Click [Scan Settings] on the toolbar.
Select the PDF file format, then click the [Options] button.

Note:
