You can use "PaperStream IP OCR Optimization Assistant for fi Series", which assists in creating a scanning profile that outputs an optimum image for OCR. You do not need specialized knowledge about scanners or image quality settings.
The profile created with this tool can be configured on the PaperStream IP settings window and can be customized in accordance with the OCR applications using the profile. The tool also assists PaperStream Capture's [Zonal OCR], which performs OCR on a specified area of a document.

- This tool can only be used when [Black & White] is selected for the image mode. [Color] and [Grayscale] are not supported.
- Scanning profiles created with this tool does not ensure an OCR text recognition rate of 100%.
- The scanning profile created with this tool can be used for performing OCR on a specified area of a document. It cannot be used for extracting all the text data on a document such as a searchable PDF file.
