If you want to scan photographs using a scanner, it is recommended to use a flatbed scanner or to use Carrier Sheets or Photo Carrier Sheets.
When scanning photographs as is using a scanner with an ADF, note the following:
-
Damage to the surface of the photographs
The surface of the photographs may get damaged.
Scanning photographs using Carrier Sheets is recommended instead of scanning them as is. -
Paper Feeding/Transfer troubles
Photographs may not be scanned correctly due to reasons such as improper feeding. Additionally, the number of document sheets that can be loaded into the scanner at a time will be reduced.
Note this in advance.
Note that Carrier Sheets can only be used with scanners that support them.
