Follow the steps below to sort scanned images by using Automatic Profile Selection, which detects style format of scanned document, and save the images to different folders accordingly.
- Open the PaperStream IP window on PaperStream Capture.
- Open the [Automatic Profile Selection] Window and configure the specific document information for the Automatic Profile Selection and a profile to be associated with that specific document information.
Note: For details, refer to "How to Use the Automatic Profile Selection" in the PaperStream IP Help. -
Select [On] for [Automatic Profile Selection] in PaperStream IP and save the profiles.

In PaperStream Capture, select the profile set in step 3 for [Scanner Driver Profile] in the [2. Scan] tab for the Batch Scan settings.

The document registered in step 2 is displayed in [Specific document] under the [Separation] tab. Select all the documents that you want to separate.Note: When selecting the [Separate unidentified documents] checkbox, documents other than the registered documents are separated as [Unidentified]. To use this function, PaperStream Capture 3.0 or later is required.

Select [Document Separator Value] for [Name Rule] under [File] in the [3. Destination] tab.
If you want to save the separated documents by folder, set [Folder delimiter] after [Document Separator Value]. -
Scan the documents in PaperStream Capture.
