The following are the main possible causes and solutions.
High processing load on the PC
Cause: For example, scanning at a high resolution (400 dpi or higher) and performing OCR at the same time may reduce the scanning speed because of the processing load on the computer.
Solution: Try changing the settings, such as lowering the resolution or stopping other applications running at the same time, and check whether the scanning speed improves.
Effects of background applications such as security software
Cause: Real-time monitoring or file scanning by security software may affect performance and slow down processing.
Solution: Temporarily disable the monitoring function, or uninstall the software, and check whether the scanning speed improves.
Communication delays caused by hubs or extension cables
Cause: Communication may slow down when the scanner is connected through a network hub, USB hub, or extension cable.
Solution: Remove any hubs or extension cables, connect the scanner directly to the PC, and check whether the scanning speed improves.
Dirt or wear on consumables
Cause: If paper dust, dust, or ink adheres to the rollers or surrounding parts, paper feeding performance may decrease.
Solution: Lightly dampen a non-woven cloth with Cleaner F1 or anhydrous alcohol, and clean the rollers and the surrounding area evenly.
